Lewis Nicholas joins board of directors

Lewis Nicholas joined the board of Bateman Groundworks on March 30.

Appointing Lewis, 26, to the role of Production Director, Richard Bateman, Managing Director, described Lewis as a “driving force” in moving the business forwards since he joined nearly five years ago.

“His ability to manage people is outstanding. He has shown impressive dedication and commitment alongside ambition since he joined us, while still completing his degree in construction management.

“His fluid and intuitive management style sets him apart and I’m very much looking forward to watching his career develop.”

Lewis achieved a first class BSc in Construction Management from Anglia Ruskin University in 2013, when he was also presented with the Student of the Year award.

He joined Bateman Groundworks as Assistant Contracts Manager from the same role at RG Carter.
He was promoted to Production Manager two years ago.

Lewis said: “I am fortunate to work alongside some extremely talented and inspiring people at Bateman Groundworks and am proud to have played a part in the company’s growth.

“We are heading into an even more exciting time with new developments and opportunities arising across the eastern region. We have built up an enviable reputation as a market leader in our field and will continue to grow, prosper and develop as a company.

“I was delighted to be prmoted to Production Director and will continue to drive the business forward and build upon our successes.”
